Good Morning Everybody !!!

Resurrection Sunday is right around the corner and I see all the Easter stuff lining the shelves at the store and countless people getting ready to celebrate. People out buying pretty baskets with chocolate bunnies and candy galore. And also buying Easter clothes to visit family and go Easter egg hunting. While some people attend a Church service out of respect and other people don’t. I heard one person say they don’t go any other time so that don’t want to be a hypocrite and go on that day either. But I wonder what would happen if people really could get a grasp on what that day really means. I know a lot of people that are turned off by church and Christians and the truth is I can’t blame them one bit. However, today, the word “religion” is on my mind. I have noticed that most religions are hung up (no pun intended) on the crucifixion of Christ. They still see Him hanging on the cross. And that is as far as they get in their walk with Jesus. But Jesus is not still hanging there. In fact, He is risen from the grave. He rose up from that agonizing death on the cross and burial in that tomb to bring us life. There is more to salvation than just having a place secured in Heaven when we pass away. Jesus died so we could have life and life abundantly. I have heard and seen so many people turn away from Jesus and they all say the same thing, “I just don’t want none of that religious stuff”. Religion kills, in fact it was the religious people that killed Jesus on the cross. Jesus died so that we could have a relationship. Being a true Christian is not a religion, but a relationship with the Father. It was the resurrection of Jesus that brings life to us, physically and spiritually. Have y’all ever noticed that religious people walk around with a death mentality. They are never happy or show any amount of joy, and if we are happy in our walk with Jesus, they act and some people have even voiced their opinion that we are going straight to hell in a handbag. We don’t dress right or talk right, and most definitely don’t look right. We do not fit their religious molds. Here is my opinion on that, “well bless their little ole hearts”.

Religion stinks !!!

I am here to tell y’all

How can y’all have a relationship with somebody that is dead?

Jesus’ resurrection was His most glorious moment, y’all know why? He conquered death and the grave.

Have y’all really thought about what conquered means? Conquered means vanquish, defeat, subdue, reduce, overcome, overthrow by force. Jesus went to hell and took back the keys that Satan had stolen.

I want to share something here. When Jesus was being beaten and He bled and He died on that cross, He did that to pay a ransom for us. In the Heavenly Kingdom, there is a justice system. On this earth, we have a justice system, granted it has gone haywire, evil is now good, and good is now evil, and the justice system is more corrupt than ever, but we do have a justice system, and the Kingdom of Heaven has one too. In fact, that is where the Justice system originated. (That is another message for later)

Jesus came to this earth to become a human in the flesh, and to live a sinless life and to pay with His blood the price for our sins so that we would not have to. Who else would do that for us? I know of nobody that would die for me. While Jesus was being beaten and hung on that cross, Scriptures say that in Isaiah 53:3-5 (ESV)  He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.  (4)  Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  (5)  But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

That means that He literally carried in His body our sickness, and pains and He literally took our punishment on His physical body so that we would not have to. It is our choice whether or not to accept what He did on that cross. If we choose not to accept His free gift then that means we would rather pay the price for our own sins ourselves. But the choice is ours to be made, nobody can do that for us, it is a personal choice.

I have even heard people say that if God wants to save me then He will save me. God doesn’t violate your freewill people. I have even heard people talk about predestination with God. Yes, God has a plan for your life, but it is up you to choose to walk in it. God is not going to force you to do anything, even be saved from eternal damnation. God doesn’t send anybody to hell that ask Him for forgiveness and accepts His free gift. I even know people that ask God for forgiveness and then they turn around and go right back to the mess they were just delivered from. I ain’t going to lie here, the struggle is real. But this one thing I do know, when we ask Jesus to come in our life and we make Him Lord over our lives, He promised us a comforter, a Helper and that Helper which is the Holy Spirit will guide you in the way your should walk but it is your choice whether to listen to the still small voice or ignore Him. Also remember “Religion kills”, and a relationship with Jesus is life.

Hebrews 10:14 (AMP)14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified [bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity].

Philippians 4:19 (AMP) 19 And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 53 (AMP) Who has believed [confidently trusted in, relied on, and adhered to] our message [of salvation]? And to whom [if not us] has the arm and infinite power of the Lord been revealed?
2 For He [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender shoot (plant),
And like a root out of dry ground;
He has no stately form or majestic splendor
That we would look at Him,
Nor [handsome] appearance that we would be attracted to Him.
3 He was despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and pain and acquainted with grief;
And like One from whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or esteem Him.

4 But [in fact] He has borne our griefs,
And He has carried our sorrows and pains;
Yet we [ignorantly] assumed that He was stricken,
Struck down by God and degraded and humiliated [by Him].
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,
And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
We have turned, each one, to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]
To fall on Him [instead of us].

7He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He did not open His mouth [to complain or defend Himself];
Like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
And like a sheep that is silent before her shearers,
So He did not open His mouth.
8 After oppression and judgment He was taken away;
And as for His generation [His contemporaries], who [among them] concerned himself with the fact
That He was cut off from the land of the living [by His death]
For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke [of death] was due?
9 His grave was assigned with the wicked,
But He was with a rich man in His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

10 Yet the Lord was willing
To crush Him, causing Him to suffer;
If He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin],
He shall see His [spiritual] offspring,
He shall prolong His days,
And the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand.
11 As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He shall see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge [of what He has accomplished] the Righteous One,
My Servant, shall justify the many [making them righteous—upright before God, in right standing with Him],
For He shall bear [the responsibility for] their sins.
12 Therefore, I will divide and give Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers],

And He shall divide the spoils with the mighty,
Because He [willingly] poured out His life to death,
And was counted among the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore and took away the sin of many,
And interceded [with the Father] for the transgressors.

Leviticus 16:22 (AMP)22 The goat shall carry on itself all their (the Israelites) wickedness, carrying them to a solitary (infertile) land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

Romans 5:1 (AMP) Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed).

Matthew 8:16-17 (ASV) “… and healed all that were sick: 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (ASV)” Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

Good Morning Everybody !!!

The coffee this morning was good and do you know what made the coffee even better than usual? I got to have coffee with my son.

I am sitting here at my desk looking out my window and the sky is grey and gloomy looking. But today is going to be an awesome day. This afternoon will be spent with grandbabies, just celebrating a birthday. Have you ever really watched children while they are at parties? I think small children are awesome. Everything they see, they just have to touch it, experience it. They like to be hands on.

I remember the first time I got to see the hot air balloons up close and personal. It was the most amazing thing. I got to experience all the sights and sounds and seeing them rise up into the air and then float away. I think it is important to see things from the perspective of little children. We are God’s children, and most people are under the impression that God created us as adults in his kingdom and we forget that we are to go to God as His child. Have you watched a toddler that was just learning to walk? They stumble and fall and get up, only to do it again and again until they get the hang of walking. We are like that. We walk, stumble, fall and God helps us up. We are His children. We are to have faith like those small children. I heard a story of a four year old girl and she was having a birthday party. At this party she was telling all her guests that her dad was going to take her to Disney World for her fifth birthday. Then her fifth birthday came around and her dad took her to Disney World. This little girl knew that her dad would do what he had told her he would do and she had faith in her dad. She knew she was going to Disney World because her dad had said it.

My mom was just like that. If my mom said something, you could take it to the bank that she would do what she had said she was going to do. Well, God, my Heavenly Father, is just like that. If He said it, then that’s the way it is. And we, His children are to trust Him just like that.

Luke 18:15-17 (ESV)  “Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

It is time that we go to the Father just like a small child and learn from Him, walk in His ways.

Good Morning Everybody !!!

Good morning from the little kitchen. The coffee this morning is absolutely delicious. I know one of my favorite things is coffee, all kinds of coffee. I told my Heavenly Father one day, when I get there, I want a coffee shop by the river and that way I can just minister to people through coffee. What an awesome combination, the Word of God and coffee. They just go hand in hand some days. God is just so good to me, even though I have days when I feel like I am being crushed by stuff that is going on around me. I know that God is in the details. There is nothing that is not Father-filtered. Everything that concerns me has to go through Him first just like the filter in my coffee maker. He knows everything, He knows what is coming my way, seconds, minutes, hours, weeks and even years from now. He knows my beginning and my ending. He knows everything about me and what everybody says about me, including all the evil plots against me. He knows. If I put my trust in Him, He will direct my every foot step.

God is in the details. I have always tried to tell my children and grandchildren to pay attention to the details, because the details are so important. Things in life just don’t run smoothly if the details are not taken care of. Things as small as a microscopic germ can cause issues if not taken care of. Look at the details, pay attention to the details and you will see God working. But don’t get so detail oriented that you forget to look at big stuff as well because you know what? we have a great big awesome God. He loves creating BIG STUFF. He is in the details but He is also the God of the impossible. He looking …. keep watching… and you will see Him in action.

Good Morning Everybody !!!

God is so, so , so good !

Well it is that time again which I just love. It is morning and the coffee is delicious. I am sitting here at my table, listening to sound of the air conditioner blowing. You know what that means? I am blessed. I am so thankful that my Father in heaven cares about us as His children. Praise God.

We have to have a heart that is thankful. I know people that are so greedy, they have the best of everything yet are not thankful and always wanting more, never satisfied. They are the type of person that will stomp others in the ground to get what they feel they deserve. And when their little empire that they built comes crashing to the ground they seem to try to drag others down with them. I am so thankful that my Father is a good God, and He is the only one I want to serve. Those people that are so greedy, they live a miserable life. There is not even a spark of happiness in them anywhere and just being around them is suffocating. But Praise the Lord we can have life, and not feel that kind of torment.

Psalm 100:3-5 (ESV) says this, “Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
    Give thanks to him; bless his name!

5 For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.

This Word tells you that we are to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with Praise. Did you know that when we are in God’s presence, He will take care of everything that pertains to you ? You don’t have to worry about anything. He is a BIG GOD, He is your DAD IN HEAVEN…. don’t you think it is time to give Him that place in your life? It is when you give up your way of doing things, He takes over. He really does, people. I know from experience. I know because my whole life has been that way, until I gave up trying to do it my own way and let God handle it His way, that is when He walked in and things started to line up and fall into place. It looked like things were falling apart at times but they really weren’t. God was just shifting things to the way it needed to be.

Good morning everybody!!!

As I sit here in this little kitchen listening to the sounds of the morning, it reminds me of just how blessed we really are. God is so good to His children. There are a lot of people in this fallen world that can not say that. Their lives are in such turmoil and they feel as if there is no way out. I used to feel that way. I used to feel as if ending it all was the only solution, but Praise God, He felt differently and He came into my life and situation and changed it. The change starts on the inside and then manifest on the outside. It all started with a change in my perspective. God is not going to force anybody to do anything that they don’t want to do, and that includes accepting Him, accepting His gift of salvation, and that is only by the Blood of Jesus.

I have always been fascinated with the behavior of other people. I want to know why people do the things they do or believe the way they do. What makes people tick as they say? I find here lately, I shake my head a lot, mainly in disbelief at the stuff they come up with.

I had heard a message from Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and it had opened my eyes to how the Blood of Jesus works in transforming people. He had shared a conversation with an atheist about the Blood of Jesus. The atheist asked the question, if there is power in the blood of Jesus, then why is it that people are sick and miserable? Bonnke replied to that question and told him, even though there is plenty of soap in this world, people are still dirty. Just by standing next to the soap doesn’t get anybody clean. You have to take the soap, and apply the soap over your body. You can even work in a soap factory, you still have to apply the soap. Same way with the Blood of Jesus, we must apply the Blood of Jesus.

Bonnke went on to explain how the Blood of Jesus works. In the Old Testament, the blood of animals was shed for atonement, which atonement means covering. However, the shedding of animal blood, could not take the sin of the world away. That only happened when Jesus came to this earth. Through the Blood of Jesus we become a new creation. Jesus and only Jesus can remove the stains, the brokenness, and the chains. Jesus came to set the captives free, but that is only done when we apply the Blood of Jesus.

The animal sacrifices in the Old Testament was done as a symbol to point the way to Jesus. But when Jesus came to this world, He shed His Blood as the final sacrifice. He removed the penalty of sins. He restored the connection between us and the Father, and that is why the curtain was ripped in half when Jesus was crucified on the cross. But it is up to us to apply the Blood of Jesus. When we do, we are washed, renewed and filled with the Holy Spirit and marked as His child.

The ReBoot !!!

I know I have not been posting things on here very much, in fact I have not been writing anything very much at all this past month. It has been like a mental reboot for me. Well this morning, sitting at this very table and drinking my first cup of coffee of the day, staring at the wall, looking at Jesus hanging on the cross (Paul was raised Catholic). Jesus is not on that cross anymore. Jesus was raised from the grave. He went to hell and He set the captives free. Since Jesus set the captives free, delivered His people from all the garbage that the enemy (Satan and his demons of hell) throw at the children of God, and since the Holy Spirit is here on this earth, to remain here with the children of God, to help them, to comfort them, to impower the children of God to do what Jesus did and more, then why are we, the children of God letting the enemy walk all over us? why is the enemy of God acting like he is in control? Satan and his minions of hell are nothing but liars, thieves and murderers. They are only here to steal, kill and destroy. I am from the south, and I was raised southern, and where I come from, when a southern woman says, “AAAHHH HELL Nah !!! ya better run…

Let me tell you about this… people, it is time to stand up and take over !!! God did not call us to sit here and do nothing.. He did not call us to be depressed, and to worry about junk the enemy thinks we should worry about… He did not call us to put up with the garbage … for days and even years, I have listened to the enemy, I have heard and seen garbage the enemy has thrown our way, and right now everything seems to be the opposite of truth. The enemy of our souls is trying to take us out, are we going to let that happen? Is that what you were born for? You have a purpose, God has a purpose for your life, right now. If you are breathing, then you have a purpose…. pull yourself together, ask the Holy Spirit to let you know what your purpose is… get up, get moving… you don’t have to take the garbage no more !!!

In The World Of Throw Away

In this world, there are so many things that are disposable. When we are finished with something, we just throw it away. Most people don’t even think another thing about it. Anything from paper cups to razors are disposable. But what about animals or even people? I know in my own life, I have felt disposable on many occasions. I am not perfect, in many ways I am broken. Have you noticed that the majority of people in our world don’t like broken things or even broken people? They will talk about them in mean and ugly ways or even toss them aside as if they were garbage. We have broken relationships, whether it is a marriage or just with our children. We have people that have disabilities, or just from different places. Nobody is the same, everyone is different, we all come from different backgrounds. There is not one person on this earth that is perfect. The only one that is perfect is Jesus Christ and I am so thankful that even though He is perfect, He loves imperfect people. We should take the time and start to look at life’s imperfections. We should build people up instead of tearing them down or throwing them away just because they are not perfect. Also stop tearing yourself down because you are not perfect. You are wanted, and if you are around someone that doesn’t see it, then they are the ones with imperfect vision and can’t see you for who you really are. You are God’s child, and He loves you no matter what. You are in His hands, so put a smile on your face, straighten yourself up, and just start to thank Jesus for all He has done for you. You are wanted even in this throw-away world.

John 10:27-30

27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 [d]My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are [e]one.”

Something to think about !!!

I was surfing through Facebook and I ran across this post…not sure who wrote this but it is the truth… Sometimes we need to look at the things through the eyes of children…

One day a very wealthy father took his son on a trip to the country for the sole purpose of showing his son how it was to be poor. They spent a few days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

After their return from the trip, the father asked his son how he liked the trip. “It was great, Dad,” the son replied. “Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked. “Oh Yeah,” said the son.

“So what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father. The son answered, “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.” The boy’s father was speechless. Then his son added, “It showed me just how poor we really are.”

Too many times we forget what we have and concentrate on what we don’t have. What is one person’s worthless object is another’s prize possession. It is all based on one’s perspective.

Sometimes it takes the perspective of a child to remind us what’s important.

Merry Christmas !!!!

I want to say Merry Christmas to everyone. This year has been quite a ride I must say. It has so many ups and downs, and twist and turns. I have come to expect the unexpected. I have always told my family and friends that, but this year, it has taught me that lesson very well.  With so much violence and chaos, destruction on every side , people are so stressed out, and not sure which way to turn. We have to stop and remember the real reason for this season. The holiday that is called Christmas.

Isaiah 9:6 tells us, ” For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

John 3:16 says, ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Romans 8:32 tells us, ” He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

Christmas means God gave His very own Son to us. Without Him there is darkness. God’s Son, Jesus or Yeshua, depending on where you are from, is the only one who could pierce this darkness.

Jesus is a gift to us from the Father.  That means you and me, everyone. It is up to us to decide whether to accept a gift or not. It was offered, in this case God, the creator of life itself, gave His Son to us.

Have you ever noticed that “Religions” say that God only rewards those that do right, or I have even heard that ” God only helps those that help themselves.”

We sometimes feel like we are truly unworthy to receive gifts.  I know I do, I grew up being treated by others that I was unworthy, I didn’t have much growing up and I was even told that I was not to want or need anything, especially if it was pretty. If I thought something was pretty, I was told no, I could not have it. I grew up thinking that I was not entitled to have nice things. So of course I didn’t get a whole lot of gifts, I didn’t know how to accept them when I did get one.

Then something happened. It started with an Avon lady.  This Avon lady by the name of Victoria came to see my mom. She would bring those little bitty samples of perfume and lip stick, and my mom would give them to me. I couldn’t wait to see Victoria, and see what she would bring because I knew that when she came by, there would be something pretty for me. Years later, I was shown that those little samples of perfume and lipsticks were actually little gifts from God. He loves to give people gifts. God uses other people to give gifts to you, even they don’t know it sometimes. James 1:17 tells us,” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”  God gave the ultimate gift to us in this world, He gave His only Begotten Son.

Sometimes you feel like you are unworthy, or not valuable enough to receive a gift, but God the Father, said Yes, you are. You are worthy to receive this ultimate gift. You are valuable enough, even the angels did not know the value of people until He gave His only Begotten Son for the world. In Romans 8:32 we are told that God did not even spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for all of us, how shall He not, with Him, freely give us all things?

That is the very reason for this season that we call Christmas.
