Good Morning, Everybody !!!

I am up before the chickens once again, but that is alright. I love spending my mornings in a quiet time, just reading and spending time with the Lord, meditating on the things that He has said in His Word.

I know that things are happening so fast that it is hard to wrap our heads around all that is happening on this planet. The book of Revelation should be called current affairs because it is being played out right before our very eyes. My question is, are y’all ready? I hear people comment all the time, ” Yeah, I got my guns.” Guns will not save ya. When Jesus comes back, are ya ready? “Yeah, I am a good person.” Being a good person, don’t make ya ready. The Words says in Roman’s 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (ESV)

I have even heard people say, ” God ain’t coming yet, He hasn’t come by now, so He ain’t coming yet.” Let me tell y’all something about the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 (ESV)

Then, the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward, the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

The five foolish were not ready. Don’t be like those five foolish virgins. The Bridegroom is coming, it may feel like He is late but remember, the Bridegroom is never late but right on time.

God is calling His people to consecrate themselves, turn from their wicked ways, and prepare for His return. He said in His Word “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 chronicles 7:14 (ESV).

God is calling His people not to the unbelievers but to those who are believers. Humble ourselves and turn from all the wickedness. I have heard excuses like you would not believe. Just recently, I heard, ” God is in everything, He is in this table.” My question is, is that table gonna save ya? I have also heard recently that “I just have a problem believing in the rapture, so what if I miss it, I will still be saved.” Yep, you can be, but why would you want to miss something so precious ?

I have also heard people say,” I will ask God to forgive me before I die.” I just need to inform ya, how will ya know when you are about to die? Death can be so unexpected, like walking along and then out of the blue, ya drop dead without any warning. Why gamble with eternity?

Salvation is a free gift people. You only have to accept it. You can’t save yourself and there are not, despite what some people and celebrities may say, there is only one way to be saved, and that my people, is through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. Don’t let religious organizations turn you away from Jesus. I am still in the process of trying to explain to my nine year old grandson why there was caution tape wrapped around a front porch of a church we passed by yesterday. This to him looked like crime scene tape, and he asked me, “Who was murdered?” I felt such heartbreak. My thoughts are the ones that are not allowed into the church except those invited in. Those that are not accepted because a person don’t measure up to their standards or have anything to put into their offering plate. That my people is not what Jesus said do. In the Word He said to go into all the world, the highways, and byways. Bring them in … He called us to be fishermen. I have been around fishermen all my life, and I have never, not once, saw anybody catch a cleaned up and dressed up fish that smelled pretty.

Good morning everybody !!!

There is no place like home. I know as I am sitting here at my table with a cup of hot coffee just enjoying the feeling of being at home surrounded by the sounds of morning, such as the birds, the crickets and frogs, the coffee pot, the blowing of the air conditioner, there is no place like home.

We have so much to be thankful for, just so much. This has been a wild week and it’s only Wednesday morning. I have seen and listened to things this week that I will be writing about, but it’s going to take me a little bit to process it.

I am thankful for the staff of Thomas Infirmary in Fairhope, AL.

They were all so very good at everything and they all had an awesome attitude and that made an enjoyable experience in the midst of a difficult time, so here is A Great Big Thank You.

And my Heavenly Father because He guided me in a way I could never had walked on my own.

To All my children (Nicole included because you are one of my own as well) , grand children and great children. Even in the midst of trial and difficulties made my birthday special. I love everyone in my life whether in the physical right here on this soil or in other countries far away. All my spiritually sons and daughters. I love you all. I pray for everyone of you, and may you all be blessed of God.

Good Morning Everybody !!!

I am sitting here having my morning coffee, listening to the thunder boom and watching the rain come down. One of my favorite moments is when everything is quiet and I can sit and hear what my Heavenly Father has to say to me.

We live in a nation during a time of everybody running here and there and it seems like everybody is just wanting what they can get no matter who gets hurt in the process. A very selfish nation, a selfish world, it’s about who has control, and the ones that are getting hurt the most are the children, the poor, the disabled and the elderly. Its sad when the very ones that are meant to protect the vulnerable are the ones getting rich at the expense of these very people. And when people rise up to protect these individuals, the children, the poor, the disabled, the elderly, they are threatened.

I saw a sign on the side of the road the other day and it was a picture of Donald Trump and it had written on it, “If they come for him, what do you think they will do to you?”

You know that is a sobering thought.

But the thing is, it’s not just the children, the poor, the disabled, and the elderly, it is also the Christian faith. We live in a time where our Christian beliefs are being threatened here in this nation. The demonic has come out in the wide open, and it is time to take a stand people. Myself included here. What are we going to do about it?

So as I sit here with my coffee cup in hand, I have asked myself, “What Am I going To Do About It?”

What are you going to do about it?

Wants and needs – getting settled in somewhere new is hard. I just so dislike moving. These last two weeks have been extremely hectic. But God doesn’t miss an opportunity to teach us valuable lessons. The lesson that I have experienced personally this week was the difference between wants and needs. Even in relationships, wants and needs occur. There are things when I look around and I say “I need this or I need that”, however, I have learned that is just not true. We do that with people as well. We tend to believe that we need him or we need her, but nope, that is just not true. We have one need in this life and that need is Jesus, everything else is a want. We may want this man or that woman but in reality, you don’t NEED them. When we have Jesus in our life as our Lord and Savior, we have everything we need.

In Matthew 6:33 ” But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” (Nas)

This includes people and provisions. God knows what you have need of before you even ask. So in reality, we have only one need. That need is Jesus.

Life gets so hard sometimes and our hearts do break. I know mine does and I often question God in my struggles, which often leads to more stuff, because I have always been taught that you are not to question God. God is God, and He is way up there and so far away and He really don’t care about your problems. But I have learned that God is right here with me. He sent His only begotten Son to this earth for me, to save me from all my sin. But do you realize that there is more to it that just saving our hide from an indescribable hell of torment. He sent His son to this earth to save us and to give us the power to walk through this earth, to be ambassadors for Him and the Kingdom of God. He gave us His authority, that means His power of attorney to do what He did while on this earth. However, there is a line that God will not cross. You have a free will, that means you have a choice in the matter. You have the power to choose in this life whether or not to choose God or Satan (the lord of this world) it is your choice and He will honor that. He will not save you unless you want to be saved. He will not force you to be saved. God didn’t make you miserable, you made yourself that way. Yes there is trouble on this earth, that is because the enemy in still roaming around seeking people to devour. God loves people, and He wants to show that love to people. It is not His will that anybody should perish but live. It is a choice, your choice and my choice. We have to make a decision, no decision is a decision. I have heard people say that, “God don’t care no more or why don’t God care ?” I have found out that God does care about you and everything about you. You just have to talk to Him. He really is listening.
