Straight from the heart 💖

This week is Thanksgiving week and I have really been thinking about what I am thankful for … I am so thankful for a loving Father in Heaven that knows me and loves me and forgives me for all my sins. Yesterday was a bad day for me and in my bad day I was not so pleasant to be around. It was awful, but in our bad days and our pouting (reminds me of grandchildren and great grandchildren). I was not being Christ-like at all, but if we are saved by grace we have a loving Father that gently picks us up and dust us off and puts us back in line where we need to be. Some have given us the impression that the God we serve and belong to is a mean God that will strike us down at the drop of hat, there is no love there, that to me is an abusive God and abusive father. That in itself causes stress and confusion. My Father does not cause confusion. No, God does not put up with sin, but that is why Jesus had to die on that cross was so that our sins are covered, we just have to ask for forgiveness and the grace of God will take care of the rest. It is not us, we are not the ones that have to go get on that cross and bleed and die there, Jesus already did that, it is our job to accept it. I have even heard that God is somewhere up there and He is never in close contact with us. He is unreachable, but nope, that is where the Blood of Jesus comes in at. Jesus died so we are able to come into the presence of God, we have been restored, we are able to bring to Heaven to earth. So this week lets all give thanks to God for the precious Blood of Christ Jesus and bring Heaven to Earth.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:4-5 (NIV)
