Hosea 10:12 says to Sow with a view to righteousness, Reap in accordance with kindness; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord until He comes to rain righteousness on you. (NASB)
I wrote this on another blog I had last year or so, I don’t remember when, however, I think we all need this once again.
I don’t know of anyone who likes when their life is turned upside down or torn apart, but life is like that. One minute it is smooth sailing, then the next thing you know, it hits you. Life is rough, it can be said that life is like soil or just plain ole out dirt, for those that grew up living on or close to fields that are used for planting.
If the dirt is not turned it gets hard. I have seen water just run off of hard dirt, nothing can grow on the dirt when it is hard that way. The dirt has to be broken up, ploughed under, turned upside down. Have you noticed it has to be chaos in the dirt for things to grow. When it is loose, opened up and oxygenated, then it becomes fruitful, ready to grow fruits and vegetables. I like looking at fruits and vegetables when they are growing, it amazes me that something so good can grow from a tiny seed that way. But it can’t grow unless the dirt is turned upside down. So when your dirt gets turned upside down, don’t panic (hard I know, I still do). Calm down and breathe when you encounter problems, crisis and turmoil. It is just your dirt getting turned over. It is the Spirit of God ploughing, He has a good purpose for it. We are to rejoice and open ourselves up to the ploughing. I know, it is easier said than done. So everybody just hang in there, God knows what He is doing. He is the master farmer.
